Sandwich Tin - Sandwich Cake Tins, Sandwich Tins

A sandwich tin is so called because they are ideal for making individual cake layers which are then sandwiched together usually with cream (or something else equally yummy) in between, as a result sandwich cake tins are generally shallower than a standard round cake tin but deeper than a flan tin.

To aid the removal of the cake layer, which is usually the trickiest part, these sandwich tins have a loose bottom, this means that the base of the sandwich tin can be removed up through the tin but will not fall out if the tin is held around the sides. These sandwich tins are also non stick which also aids cake removal, we do however advise that you still lightly grease your sandwich tin just to make sure.
