An Air Bed (also known as an Air Mattress) is a popular choice for camping trips and for temporary use in the home. Some airbeds are intended as multi-purpose (camping and guest-use) while others are specifically designed for one purpose. The majority of airbeds are made of PVC vinyl plastic and are normally supplied as a 'single' or 'Double airbed'.

The deflated airbed can be rolled up or folded and carried or stored relatively easily. They are inflated by blowing through a valve, operating a foot pump or inflated via an electric pump. A coil structure type air bed provides more strength, firmness and comfort while sleeping.
