A hachoir (French for chopper), known in Italy as a mezzaluna is a twin bladed (sometimes single bladed) herb chopper. Our hachoir comes as a hachoir set which includes a herb chopper and board with a shallow indentation to allow the blade to rock back and forth whilst cutting herbs

A hachoir is considered a safer way to cut fresh herbs as apposed to using a normal knife as both hands are kept safely away from the blade while cutting, this also means that using a herb cutter is a much faster way to prepare herbs. Our hachoir has stainless steel blades which are dishwasher safe.
