A pizza cutter is a handle with a bladed wheel that can spin freely. To use a pizza cutter simply press the cutter into the cooked pizza and then roll in the direction you wish to cut whilst applying pressure to be sure to slice through the base, repeat back and forth until a clean cut is achieved.

The advantage of proper pizza cutters over knives is that they are suited to large flat foods, where a knife struggles as only the tip can really be used to make the cut, if the knife is laid across the pizza to make use of the whole blade it is rarely long enough to cut the hole pizza in one and often your burn your hand. Pizza cutters are also useful in areas like crafts, where ever a long clean cut is required over a large flat surface.
